The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Somali government, Ahmed Macalin Fiqi, said that there is no one who can prevent the amendment of the interim constitution of Somalia.

Minister Fiqi said that the government will not stop politicians who have come together to oppose the amendment of the constitution, saying that there is no Somali region that does not have the role of revising the constitution.

“It is said that the graves won’t end. It is unfortunate that Sheikh Sharif says that Somaliland is missing. There is no one in the Somali Parliament. We want the constitution to be passed,” said Fiqi.

Ahmed Macalin Fiqi said that in the coming days, the parliamentary referendum will be held for the implementation of the four articles of the constitution, saying that the parliament is fulfilling its constitutional duties.

Somalia’s constitutional dispute is at a critical point, as most non-governmental politicians who ruled the country opposed the amendment of the country’s constitution, sending a warning to the government.

The former presidents of the country, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and Sharif Sheikh Ahmed are leading the campaign against tampering with the constitution.
