The court of Banadir region today sentenced Sayid Ali Macalin Daoud to death who was accused of burning his pregnant wife Luul Abdicasis Mohamed.
The president of the Banadir regional court, Salah Ali Mohamud, said that the accused was found to have intentionally burned his wife, citing the evidence gathered in this case.
The chairman said that the sentence handed down to Sayyid Ali Macalin Daoud was the murder of the deceased who was his wife.
The sentence given to the accused is open to appeal, according to the chairman of the court.
The family of the deceased welcomed the decision of the court, and when the decision was announced, they applauded.
It is not known whether the deceased will be buried today, who is still in the refrigerator, while waiting for the court’s decision.
