The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a special meeting with his counterpart in Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelle, in Nairobi, Kenya.
The presidents of Somalia and Djibouti discussed cooperation in the issues affecting the two countries, first of all the issues of security and maintaining the stability of the region, according to a statement issued by the Somali Presidency.
The two presidents are participating in the 6th round of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.
The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, is expected to deliver a speech at the international conference, and to present the strong impact of climate change in Somalia, as well as the frequent droughts and floods in Somalia.
It is also expected that President Hassan Sheikh will hold special meetings during his stay in Nairobi in Kenya with some of the different leaders who are participating in this conference to discuss climate change and the problems that arise from it.
