A plane owned by Qatar Airways survived an accident on Sunday when it was about to take off with Ethiopian Airlines.

Mohamed Al-Sheiban, the pilot of the Qatar Airways plane, confirmed how the Qatar Airways plane survived the accident, saying that the crew managed the danger of the Ethiopian plane, due to an air navigation error that occurred in Somalia. .

Pilot Al Shiban said in his post that the TCAS system, which monitors what is happening around the plane, issued an emergency warning inside the cabin of the Qatari plane.

The warning informed the pilot to fly the plane at a low altitude to avoid the possibility of colliding with the Ethiopian plane.

On the other hand, a spokesman for the Qatar Airways company said that this task was properly handled by its international pilots who work for it, which it said are trained for sudden events that take place in the air.

“Qatar Airways invests heavily in a system that ensures our highly trained pilots operate our aircraft safely in mixed airspace around the world,” said a Qatar Airways spokesperson.

Qatar Airways declined to comment on the accusations made against the Somali government that the Somali Air Authority had given Qatar Airways dangerous instructions.
