The president of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, has firmly stated that the agreement between Somaliland and Ethiopia will be implemented, and that Somalia cannot stand in the way.
The president accused the government of Somalia that it has made it clear that it believes that Somaliland does not exist, and that it is a region of Somalia.
“Somalia has made it clear that there is no such thing as Somaliland, they are our regions and they cannot control anything, it is the first time that the true face of Somalia has come out,” said President Bihi.
The President specifically accused the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and said that he had abused Somaliland in particular, and accused President Hassan of wanting to sign the agreement alone.
“Don’t lose heart, don’t always say what you can’t do. You own Somaliland’s sea and you rule. If you rule, don’t you come? This decision and this understanding will be fulfilled,” said President Bihi.
The President said that the world is exchanging interests and no one gives anything to anyone empty-handed, and Somaliland and Ethiopia have agreed to unite their interests so that each can achieve its own interest, and Ethiopia is ready to recognize Somaliland.
The president of Somalia said that he did not allow the agreement to be changed into an official agreement, saying that Ethiopia wants to take Somali lands.
