Members of the Southwest House of Representatives have also refused to be part of Parliament, the Electoral Commission has announced.

The Independent National Electoral and Boundaries Commission has officially announced the list of three remaining members of the House of Representatives of the South West State of Somalia, who were elected in the simultaneous elections held in the administration on May 10, 2026.

A press release from the office of the commission chairman stated that this step is part of the constitutional mandate and the laws that guide the electoral process in the country.

The commission noted that it had previously announced 92 members of the House of Representatives, according to a press release issued on May 25, 2026, while these last three members have now been added, bringing the total number of members of the South West House of Representatives to 95 members.

The members announced are: Abdullahi Mohamed Xaamud Abdi (GWKG-93), from the Karaama political party, Mohamed Armo Mohamed Qoshoow (GWKG-94), from the Waaberi political party and Mohamed Ismail Ciilmooge (GWKG-95), from the Towfiiq political party.

The announcement of these three seats completes the list of members of the House of Representatives of the South West administration, with the expectation that this step will accelerate the next stages of the formation of government institutions and the elections for the administration’s leadership.
