The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, chaired the weekly meeting of the Commands, Divisions, Independent Sessions, and Port and Airport Commands, which focused on the overall security situation in the country, especially in the capital, Mogadishu.
The meeting was also attended by officers from the Banadir Region Police Stations, and the importance of ensuring security at checkpoints, and strictly inspecting vehicles entering and leaving the capital, was emphasized in particular, to prevent anything that threatens stability.
Commander Asad Osman Abdullahi directed the officers to fully implement existing security procedures, and to strengthen the general vigilance of the forces operating in key areas.
The Commander also stressed to the officers the importance of maintaining the information-sharing system between the country’s security branches, noting that the exchange of information played a major role in preventing acts against security.
Finally, the Police Chief said that cooperation and coordination among security agencies is the most important pillar in ensuring sustainable and peaceful security in the country.
