Nairobi, Kenya –
Prof. Amina Adan Mohamed, a member of the National Health Professionals Council (NHPC) and a member of the AMCOA’s Education, Training and Research Committee, held a keynote meeting with senior officials of the World Continuing Education Alliance (WCEA) in Nairobi, Kenya.

The meeting was attended by Paddy Mwangi, Regional Director of WCEA, and Craig Fitzpatrick, Director of Partnerships of the same organization. Discussions focused on the development of continuing education for health professionals and ways to strengthen collaboration on CME/CPD (Continuing Medical Education / Continuing Professional Development) programs.

Prof. Amina Adan Mohamed said at the meeting that the NHPC is fully committed to the development and improvement of health professional education, in order to enhance the knowledge and skills of health workers in the country. She also stressed the importance of strengthening collaboration and cooperation with international organizations working in health education.

This meeting is expected to lead to new opportunities for the development of training and medical research, which will help improve the quality of health services in the community.
