Israel has issued a warning to Somalia, with Shay Gal, a senior adviser to the Israeli government, saying that Somalia has now become a place of great influence for Turkey, where Turkey is testing its Tayfun missile, which has been threatened by Greece and Israel.

Shay Gal, who is also Israel’s former deputy foreign minister, sent a message to Ankara, saying: “The distance from Somalia is no greater than Iran,” noting that for many years it was not believed that Israel would attack the Iranian program until it did.

He said that Jerusalem’s eyes are open, adding that Turkey is behind a base in Somalia where thousands of soldiers are trained.

Shay Gal stressed that this is not speculation but a reality, and noted that Greece and Israel are increasing monitoring and collecting information about any Turkish tests inside Somalia.

The news from Israel comes three weeks after Turkey announced an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and 36 other senior Israeli government officials, over the Gaza war against Hamas.
