The Commander of the Banadir Regional Police Force, Lieutenant General Mahdi Omar Mumin, chaired a meeting to discuss the general security of the capital and the prevention of anti-security activities.
The meeting was first attended by reports from police officers on the security situation, especially the recent activities that took place in Mogadishu.
The meeting also discussed the operations to prevent robberies in some districts of the Banadir region.
Commander Mahdi Omar Mumin directed the Banadir Regional Police Force to intensify security, and to prevent groups of robbers and those who cause harm to the people living in Mogadishu.
“The meeting focused on strengthening security, increasing the vigilance of the forces, and preventing activities that could damage the reputation of the Police,” said a statement from the Banadir Regional Police Force.
This meeting comes as the people living in the districts of the Banadir region have been complaining about the activities related to mobile phone robberies carried out by armed bandits.
