The Immigration and Citizenship Agency has successfully carried out a planned operation to arrest a person of Somali origin but who holds the citizenship of one of the European countries.

This person was accused of illegally working in the smuggling of people, especially young Somalis, who are transported to different countries through dangerous routes.

The operation to arrest the suspect was carried out using modern equipment to check and track travel documents, which facilitated his rapid identification and arrest.

Immigration authorities said that the suspect had been tracked for a while, and the information obtained proved that he played a prominent role in coordinating illegal trips, which endangered the lives of many young people.

Finally, the suspect was officially transferred to the Criminal Investigation Agency to complete legal investigations and proceed to the next steps in the case.

Security agencies have urged the public to cooperate with government agencies to curb crimes related to smuggling and human trafficking, which negatively affect society, especially the youth.
