The Ministry of Interior of the Jubbaland State has issued a statement calling on the people of Jubbaland not to be misled by the adoption of the National Identity Card recently implemented by the Ministry of Interior of Somalia.
The ministry clarified that any law or initiative that is not unanimously agreed upon does not represent the Jubbaland State, and stated that anything that is not an agreement cannot be implemented.
In the press release issued by the Ministry, it was revealed that the National Identity Card does not have a legal agreement and official recognition, and therefore the Jubbaland administration considers it a political initiative that has no legal status in the state.
The Ministry of Interior also advised the people living in the areas of the Jubbaland State not to participate in anything that contradicts the laws and regulations established in Jubbaland.
Finally, a strong call was sent to the people of Jubbaland to strictly observe the legal system established by the government of the Jubbaland State, and to be vigilant against actions that could cause trouble or instability.
