Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Dr. Badr Abdel Aty conveyed a message from President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, while they were attending the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
First of all, the Foreign Minister conveyed Al Sisi’s greetings to the Somali President, wishing for continued cooperation between the two governments in the areas of security, stability, and peace in Somalia.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed Egypt’s full commitment to supporting the unity and solidarity of the Somali territory and national institutions, and efforts to ensure security and stability in Somalia.
He affirmed that Egypt supports Somalia in combating terrorism and extremism at this critical time, stressing its commitment to providing all kinds of support to combat terrorism and achieve security and stability.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, for his part, requested to convey greetings from the President of the Republic of Egypt, and his deep gratitude for the supporting role that Egypt plays in his country at various levels.
