The Somali Cabinet held its regular meeting today, commending the operations to rid the country of Al-Shabaab and ISIS groups that are hiding in parts of the country.
A statement issued by the Cabinet meeting chaired by Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre presented reports related to the country’s overall security, especially the successes achieved in the operations underway in parts of the country.
The members of the Cabinet praised the armed forces and local forces participating in the fight against terrorism, noting the importance of accelerating support for the forces.
The Cabinet of Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre also approved an agreement between Somalia and Egypt.
The agreement between the two governments concerns the two governments waiving the entry requirements for diplomatic passports, allowing citizens to enter and exit the country without conditions for a period of 90 days.
