The Head of Delegation of the Arab League and Prime Minister Hamzeh discussed the study of the Arabic language.

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister of Somalia said that Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre received in his office the Head of the Arab League Mission to Somalia, Ambassador Abdalla Al-Oteybi.

The two officials discussed strengthening relations and cooperation between the Somali Government and the Arab League, especially in the political and economic fields.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister spoke about the great achievements made by the government and the investment opportunities in Somalia that require investment from Arab member countries of the organization.

The statement noted that areas that need investment in Somalia include livestock, agriculture, fishing, energy, petroleum and mining.

Ambassador Al-Otaibi raised with Prime Minister Hamsa the importance of the organization’s plan to strengthen the learning of the Arabic language among the Somali community, as the constitution states that the second language of the country is Arabic.
