The former Director of the Somali National Intelligence Service, Fahad Yasin Haji Dahir, said that the Somali National Army, in the last three years, has been involved in a conspiracy hatched by an Arab country.
Fahad Yasin indicated that the plot was carried out by two people who directly held positions in offices that gave them the power to implement the foreign plan, and they used brutal methods.
He also revealed that throughout the history of the Somali National Army, the suffering that these two people have inflicted on the national army has never been the same.
“The Somali people deserve an explanation that describes the type of conspiracy that was hatched against the Somali National Army. One of them was a double agent, and he was serving a single plan for a foreigner and Al-Shabaab, who had the same agenda, but different goals,” said Fahad Yasin.
“One of them, the foreigners succeeded in giving him the Ministry of Defense during the previous President’s term, but they failed to carry out their plot. Unfortunately, he was returned to the same Ministry to carry out his plan. The other, he took the highest position in the National Army, and the current President gave it to him,” he concluded in his article.
Fahad Yasin did not specify that the two officials he mentioned in his article were representatives of Arab countries in the plots to destroy the Somali National Army.
