The Somali Federal Government’s Cabinet, which held its weekly meeting today, discussed several issues, including the country’s overall security, and approved agreements the government entered into with Azerbaijan.
The Somali Cabinet, in its meeting today, first approved a memorandum of understanding on oil and gas issues between the governments of Somalia and Azerbaijan, as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Working Center Act.
The meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Somali Government, Hamse Abdi Barre, also heard reports from the Ministries of Defense and Security of the Federal Government of Somalia.
The Cabinet also approved the proposal from the Ministries of Agriculture and Irrigation regarding the appointment of the Director and Deputy Director of the Somali Inspection and Agriculture Regulatory Authority.
The appointed members approved by the Council of Ministers are Abdi Mohamed Hussein, who was appointed as the General Manager of the Somali Inspection and Agricultural Services Regulatory Authority, and Libaan Abdi Hassan, who was appointed as the Deputy Manager of the authority.
