The Minister of Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag, who was part of a press conference held today by several ministers of the Government of Somalia in Mogadishu, said that the war going on in Bura Almiskaad is not fought by Somalis, but by foreign fighters who fought against the group in Iraq and Syria.

Minister Fartaag has declared that the people of Somalia should unite in the fight against the Daesh group before it spreads to other parts of Somalia, and he promised that the Somali government is ready to support the Puntland forces in the fight.

Minister Fartaag has warned the Somali people to finance terrorism and give the extortion money demanded by Al-Shabaab and Daesh.

The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, confirmed the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Somalia on Thursday to show support to the Puntland forces in order to strengthen the fight against the Daesh group in Mount Calmiskaad.

Fierce fighting has been going on since last month in the mountains of the Bari region, and Puntland has carried out a major operation that it has said will end the Daesh group that has established bases in the Bari mountains.
