The Ministry of Health of Somalia has issued irrevocable orders affecting people arriving and traveling from Somalia, this step is that they must take vaccinations such as the one against malaria, polio vaccine and brain tuberculosis vaccine.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Health said that this came into effect on February 1, 2025. It noted that vaccination centers are part of the entry points into the country, such as: international airports, ports and other health centers designated by the government.
The press release said “The Ministry of Health is committed to protecting the health and safety of citizens and visitors to the country, therefore, based on the increase in infectious diseases in the world and the implementation of the International Health Regulations related to traffic (IHR 2005)” .
