The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance of Somalia, Abdiqafar Ilmi Haange, gave details of the meetings held with the doctors and health organizations of the country, and indicated that they have reached a full consensus on the process of taxes and the procedures required for hospitals.

This action came after meetings at different levels, which have been going on for a long time, and which were held by the officials of the Ministry of Finance and the associations of doctors and hospitals in the country, and today, an effective result was officially obtained, and it was announced that the Exemption from Medical Services Sales Taxes for Hospitals and Clinics that provide health care services.

Minister Xange said that the various health services provided by hospitals are exempted from taxes, and some of these services include outpatient services, emergency services, maternal and newborn services, diagnostic services, surgeries and inpatient treatment that hospitals and clinics provide. pay.

The minister said that this will make it easier for citizens to get the cheapest medical services and as a result they will be exempted from the tax that has already been imposed on them.

On the other hand, the doctors who witnessed the meeting confirmed that the cooperation of the Ministry and serving the community is a pillar for the development of the Somali community.
