The Puntland administration has officially denied reports that Ethiopian citizens were killed in the cities of Bosaso and Garowe.

A press release from the Puntland Police said that the reports written in the media are baseless and misleading.

The police confirmed the existence of a small incident in the city of Garowe, where people threw stones at the Ethiopian immigrants, but they said that no one was seriously injured in the incident.

The police forces said that they quickly intervened in the incident and immediately arrested the people behind the act.

“We are warning the public against committing such acts, and we reiterate our commitment to protecting the safety and security of all citizens, including migrants,” said the Puntland Police.

It was yesterday when media from Ethiopia wrote that three Ethiopians were killed in the cities of Bosaso and Garowe, after they said that angry people and the security forces targeted those people.
