A press release from the Somali Police Command detailed explosions that were heard last night in Daru Salaam District of Banadir Region, and the police said that what was heard were fake mines.
The police have announced that they are confirming to the Somali community and the media that there is no security threat in the capital of Mogadishu.
The police press release said, “The terrorist groups tried to create fear by placing fake landmines in a business center in Darussalam.”
The police indicated that they confirmed that the mines were detonated and did not cause any loss of life or property as a result of the act.
The Somali Police Command called on the public to cooperate with the security forces in peace, and beware of fake news that disturbs the Somali community.
