The chairman of Somaliland’s ruling party, Wadani, Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, has defended himself against accusations that he met the President of Somalia, Hassan Sh., in Djibouti. Mahmoud.

Hirsi said that he did not meet President Hassan Sheikh during his recent trip to Djibouti and if they do talk, it will be in their party’s program and they will talk directly.

“I saw that Hirsi’s party had a meeting with Hassan Sheikh. We didn’t meet Hassan Sheikh before. We didn’t plan to meet, and we didn’t need to see each other. If we need it, it was written in our program that we will enter into talks with him and hide from him,” said Hirsi.

A protest against Hirsi’s trip to Djibouti took place recently in Hargeisa, the protestors claimed that the governor had a secret meeting with President Hassan while they were in the country’s capital.

On the other hand, they opposed his trip to Djibouti, which has been in conflict with Somaliland for the last year.

Hirsi, who was part of the government of Ahmed Silanyo, was one of the people who led the dialogue between Somaliland and the government of Somalia for the first time.

But after the failure of many meetings between the two sides for more than 10 years, there are many people who see it as a waste of time to continue the talks.
