The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, handed over the position to the new Minister of Energy and Minerals, Dahir Shire Mohamed and the former Minister, Abdirisaaq Omar Mohamed, noted that the Ministry is sitting on the completion of the plans of the Danish Government regarding the production of oil.
“We want this ministry to pave the way for the Somali people to have a proper and reliable economic direction, since our country has been in ruins for a long time, and the important infrastructures that the country had were gone.” He said Prime Minister Hamsa.
The Prime Minister said that the Government of Denmark has approved agreements and laws to strengthen the power of government agencies, especially in the areas of economic development of the country.
Prime Minister Hamsa thanked the former Minister of the Ministry for his responsible service to the nation during his tenure, and prayed to God to make the difficult work ahead of him easier.
The new Minister Dahir Shire said that he will work on the development of the country’s economy and production as his Ministry is one of the Ministries that generate income.
The Minister emphasized that he will work on improving the staff of the Ministry, and he asked them to give them confidence so that they can cooperate better.
