This issue is greatly pushed by many diplomats from the Republic, who have held many positions in the past, and regularly spread X in support of the recognition of Somaliland.

Trump is believed to be a person who doesn’t like Somalia, he described it years ago as a broken place without government, there are Republican diplomats who say that he can change the US policy of “United Somalia”.

Somalia’s ambassador to Washington DC, Dahir Hassan, rejected this motion, saying that Somalia and the United States have long cooperated for peace in the region and the fight against terrorism, so any action that harms the unity of Somalia will jeopardize the cooperation.

Somaliland, which has not received international recognition for more than 33 years, has expressed its support for Trump, with the government saying that it expects diplomatic support.
