African Union President Moussa Faki Mohamed welcomed the agreement reached by the leaders of Ethiopia and Somalia in Ankara, Turkey to end the dispute between the two countries, which was about the agreement between Somaliland and Ethiopia.

The Chairperson of the African Union urged the two countries to implement the agreed measures without delay.
Ethiopia and Somalia reached this agreement on Wednesday after talks moderated by Turkey in the city of Ankara, which shows the progress made in resolving the conflict between the two countries.
The tension between Ethiopia and Somalia has been increasing after it was said that Ethiopia and Somaliland signed an agreement earlier this year which stipulates that Ethiopia will get a seaport and a base to recognize Somaliland as an independent country.
The Federal Government of Somalia said that the agreement is illegal.
