The command of the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has given more details about a planned operation that killed members of the Al-Shabaab group in the Lower Shabelle region.
The press release from NISA said that the operation took place in the Baghdad area in Afgooye district, and killed 23 members of the Al-Shabaab group.
NISA also said in its statement that during the operation, its forces destroyed the positions of the Al-Shabaab group in the Baghdad area of the Lower Shabelle region.
NISA officials have also instructed civilians to stay away from Al-Shabaab’s locations, which are particularly targeted by various parts of Somalia’s armed forces.
It was yesterday when a statement from NISA announced that 27 members of the Al-Shabaab group were killed in an operation in Yaaqle area of the Middle Shabelle region.
