The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, has greatly praised the forces of Jubbaland, who have recently joined the Somali forces in the area of Ras Kambooni in the Lower Jubba region.

Prime Minister Hamse said that the purpose of the deployment of the army in Ras Kamboni area is to ensure the security of that area and other areas where the ATMIS forces have left so that they are not captured by the Al-Shabaab group.

“The purpose of Ra’s Kamboni that evacuated the army to the federal government is not to capture Al-Shabaab and for the army to take over the areas vacated by ATMIS, the administration of Badhaadhe district and the people of that district asked Jubbaland to take over the security of the areas vacated by ATMIS, but Jubbaland refused. After this request, the federal government asked for troops and the local forces were deployed to Ras Kambooni,” said Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre.

He also pointed out to the Prime Minister of the Federal Government that the leaders of Jubbaland are igniting conflicts and wars between the Somali forces, which is unfortunate.

“If someone in charge is trying to unite the forces in their different divisions, I praise the brave forces of Jubbaland, they avoided bloodshed, and united with their brothers in the Federation, the government will reward you,” said Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre.

This statement by Prime Minister Hamse comes as the tension between the Jubbaland government and the federal government has been increasing in recent days, which has become more difficult after the election that took place in Kismayo on the 25th of this month and was re-elected for the third time. The president of that administration Ahmed Mohamed Islam Ahmed Madobe.
