The Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Jubaland State Government has informed the airlines that provide flight services that have the permission of the ministry to work with the managers of the airports designated by the ministry in the areas of Jubalanad.

The Ministry has told the local companies operating in Somalia that they will not allow anyone who is not authorized by the Ministry to operate flights in Jubaland that the companies cannot handle.

The ministry also said in a statement that Jubaland appointed the director of aviation matters to work well with the governors of the districts and the security agencies that are responsible for these activities.

This step comes as the Federal Government has recently been sending planes from Mogadishu to deploy troops to some areas of Jubaland.

Jubaland is wary of the expansion of the Federal Government in its areas and there is still a growing conflict between the Federal Government and Jubaland.
