Kenyan forces have attacked two of Al-Shabaab’s makeshift camps on the border between Kenya and Somalia.
Kenya said that these camps were places where they wanted to attack and disrupt the flow of public and commercial vehicles on the highways that connect the cities of Garissa and Lamu.
“Al-Shabaab militants who could not withstand the attack fled the camps, leaving behind explosives, keys, land bombs, ammunition, communication equipment and various types of hand-held rocket ammunition,” said a news release. out of Kenya.
The security agencies thanked the local community for their continued support in providing Al-Shabaab information.
