The Ministry of Security of the Jubbaland State Government has issued serious directives regarding the security of the elections taking place in Jubbaland and the areas of the administration.
The ministry issued a statement ordering the Darwish army and the National Intelligence Service based in the Jubbaland region to be on full alert to strengthen the security of the election.
The army has also been instructed not to get involved in political affairs and should only stay in their camps and the security work assigned to them.
Jubbaland has also banned the activities of armed soldiers who are not on security duty in Jubbaland administrative areas.
Political stakeholders and candidates for the presidency of Jubbaland have been ordered to bring legal forces and to contact the police command of Jubbaland as explained to the media by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Security of Jubbaland Adan Ahmed Haji.
He warned the minister to create an army organized by the community to disrupt the security and stability of Jubalanad areas.
The order issued by Jubbaland comes at a time when Jubbaland is holding an election outside the Federal Government of Somalia.
