The Minister of Petroleum and Minerals of the Federal Government of Somalia, MP Abdirisaaq Omar Mohamed accused the President of Puntland, Saeed Deni of preventing oil exploration in Puntland areas.
The minister said that President Deni had come with a company that he specifically wanted to explore in Puntland areas. He said that the government rejected it, saying that the central government is responsible for the country and its resources.
He said the minister said that President Deni wants to politicize the good and the development of the government, and unfortunately he pointed out that a photo that went wrong on the air has a bad image against the government’s efforts to remove oil from the country, so that achieve financial self-sufficiency.
He said the government of Somalia is ready to accept any mistakes that have happened, but he said that it will not stop anyone who wants to stop the ongoing development.
