The Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals of the Federal Government of Somalia has apologized for the wrong map that was used in the ceremony yesterday to welcome the oil exploration vessel off the coast of Somalia.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals of the Federal Government stated that there was a technical fault in the wrong MAPKA image that was presented at the Oruc Reis ship welcoming ceremony.
The ministry said that these maps have nothing to do with the work it is doing. She also said that the image of this map is already on the internet, which was inadvertently used in yesterday’s ceremony.
“Based on this, we apologize for the technical problems that arose during the process, including the map image or MAP that was presented at the ship’s reception event, which was from the company’s side. was in charge of the design and decoration of the event,” said the statement issued by the ministry.
The ministry also added in its statement that the company that made these maps used a MAP or compass that was not the correct one shared by the ministry.
However, Puntland has strongly condemned this map and said that the Federal Government of Somalia has disputed parts of its territories that are said to be disputed.
