Hezbollah in Lebanon has confirmed that its leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli attack on Friday night in Lebanon.

The forces said that they “targeted” the headquarters of the Hizbullah organization, located in “an underground area built under a residential building in the Dahieh area of Beirut.

“Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of the Hezbollah Organization, has joined his great comrades who were martyred, which he led for almost 30 years,” said a statement issued by the Iran-backed group.

“We hope this will change Hezbollah’s actions,” Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani told reporters after the IDF said it had killed Nasrallah.

The statement said that Hezbollah has vowed to continue the war against Israel and support Palestine.

The Israeli government, on the other hand, said that it is on high alert after the killing of Nasrallah.
