“During the talks in Ankara, we came out of the fact that Ethiopia refused to recognize Somalia as a free neighboring country. Until it agrees, we cannot talk about business. It is unfortunate that the Ethiopian government has failed to do so. “The mistake we made, it will not happen, and it is a dream that will not come true that Ethiopia will take our land and add it to our sea,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
He also mentioned to the president that Ethiopia is carrying out all kinds of provocations and is looking for wrong answers from Somalia, and he said that Somalia will never allow to be violated whatever happens.
“We have not responded to Ethiopia for everything it has done. We stand by our goal. Turkey has worked hard, and we thank them, but we will not give up our rights. Somalia is free. It will agree with whoever it sees in its interests. Our interests come first. They come, and we are against their interests, we work only in our interests,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
