The UK ambassador to Somalia met with the president of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, to discuss the political conflict over the reform of the country’s constitution.

The President of Puntland and the UK ambassador had a discussion about the importance of negotiating the reform of the constitution and the development of the country’s economy.

“Emphasizing the importance of dialogue, both sides underlined the importance of discussing important issues such as constitutional reform,” said a statement published on page X of the UK embassy in Somalia.

However, the UK government, which is part of Somalia’s international friends, wants a solution to the political conflict between Puntland and the federal government of Somalia, to restore cooperation between the federal government and the regional government of Puntland.

The federal government recently said that it has put a lot of effort into improving the relationship with Puntland, so that it becomes a legal relationship based on the interest of the people and the country.

Puntland, which opposes the amendment of the constitution, has severed ties with the federal government of Somalia, saying it has lost confidence in the federal government.
