The Federal Government of Somalia has given details of a serious operation that took place today in the forest area in Tabar Mooge area which is approximately 28 KM to the North of Harardhere district in Mudug region.
In a press release from the Ministry of Information of Somalia, it was stated that the operation which was carried out by the government forces and international friends killed more than 70 members of the Al-Shabaab group who were gathering in the area.
“The militias that were destroyed were targeted at three spots in the area. The information obtained says that they were gathering about 150 Khawarij, which included the militias that broke out from yesterday’s operation in the area of Arfudah and other militias that were gathered.” said in the press release issued by the Ministry of Information.
The news from Somalia News also said that the joint forces are still chasing the group of Al-Shabaab members who were defeated in the attack that took place today in Tabar Mooge area of Mudug region.
This operation comes at the same time as yesterday and last night, the government forces and those of international friends carried out heavy operations against the Al-Shabaab group in the areas of Arfuuda and Ruunirgood in the Middle Shabelle and Mudug regions.
