The Iranian government has spoken of retaliatory missiles and airstrikes against Israel, in response to the Israeli attack on April 1 against Iran’s diplomatic facilities in the Syrian capital of Damascus.

The Islamic Revolution in Iran announced in a statement on Saturday night that they had launched the bombing campaign, calling it a “real commitment”.

“In response to the numerous crimes of the Zionist regime, including the attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus and a number of our country’s commanders and military advisors in Syria, the Revolutionary Air Division of Iran launched dozens of missiles and drones, which were targeted inside the occupied territory,” the statement said.

Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, on the other hand, warned any country that could open its land or air to Israel, to attack Iran, saying that they will get their answer.
