The American embassy in Nairobi has issued a serious warning regarding the security threat facing its citizens in Mogadishu.
The US Embassy in Mogadishu has received information about threats to many places in Mogadishu, such as the Aden Adde airport in Mogadishu.
All activities of the staff of the US Embassy in Mogadishu have been suspended on Tuesday.
“The US Embassy in Somalia reminds its citizens that terrorists continue to organize kidnappings, bombings, and other attacks in Somalia. They may launch attacks targeting airports, seaports, checkpoints, government buildings, hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, and other places where Westerners gather,” the US embassy said.
This warning from the American embassy came at a time when mortar attacks took place in Mogadishu last night on government facilities such as the presidential palace and the airport.
