The Danab commando force last night carried out a planned operation in the area of Hanti Mujaj in the Lower Shabelle region where members of the Al-Shabaab group were present.
The operation was said to have killed four members, including a leader named Zubeir, who was the security chief of the Al-Shabaab group in the Lower Shabelle region.
A statement issued by the Federal Government said that the Danab army also destroyed the positions of the group in Hanti Mujaj area in the Lower Shabelle region.
Officials from the country’s armed forces who spoke to the national media said that they will continue such operations against the Al-Shabaab group.
The forces of the federal government of Somalia have greatly increased in the past few days the planned operations that they are carrying out in the areas where the Al-Shabaab militias are opposed to the existence of the government of Somalia.
