The presidents of Somalia and Djibouti held a meeting in Djibouti.

The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is participating in the 41st meeting of the IGAD regional organization in Djibouti, today held a meeting with his Djibouti counterpart, Ismail Omar Guelle.

The presidents of Somalia and Djibouti discussed issues such as cooperation between the two governments and regional security.

“The two presidents discussed the situation in the region, the fraternal relationship between Somalia and Djibouti and the cooperation in matters affecting the two peoples, primarily the security and peace of the region,” said a brief statement from the Somali Presidency.

President Hassan Sheikh is also in Djibouti to hold separate meetings with the leaders of the IGAD regional organization that is participating in the conference.
