Reports from Dhagaxdheer and Daaday areas under Aad area in Mudug region, say that there is a war going on there after the Armed Forces, Galmudug Dervishes and the People’s Defense Forces launched a multi-directional attack on the Al-Shabaab gathering place.
The fighting in the forest area in the area has resulted in a strong defeat against al-Shabaab, according to the state media, the Deputy Minister of Information, Abdirahman Yusuf Al-Adalah.
In the past two days, government forces have killed more than 70 Al-Shabab and their leaders in Mudug and Galgaduud regions, according to the government.
Al-Shabaab is still present in areas of Mudug region, although the government has removed the important cities such as Badaweyne, Amara, Qaycad, and Qodqod, which were liberated a few days ago.
Al-Shabaab are still in the wild areas where they are hiding from the airstrikes and direct attacks of the government forces.
