The President of the Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud chaired the meeting of the National Security Council, which discussed the completion of the plan to liberate the country and the war against the Al Shabaab militia.
The President heard from the Commanders of the Armed Forces a report on the security of the country and the ongoing efforts to eradicate terrorism, and he noted that the Somali people are waiting for the country to be free, and to go peacefully to the liberated cities and areas.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud praised the security agencies for ensuring the safety of the capital and for their commitment to the safety of the lives and property of Somali citizens.
The president called on the public to work closely with the security forces.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister, Hamse Abdi Barre, the Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama, the Ministers of Security, Internal Affairs, Finance, Justice, Religion & Endowment and the Commanders of the Armed Forces.
