There are more reports of an attack by Al-Shabaab fighters in Goofgaduud Buree area, one of the areas under Baidoa city in Bay region.
The attack took place yesterday evening and it was indicated that until last night the fighting between the government forces and Al-Shabaab who attacked Goofgaduud Buurey area which is 30 KM north of Baidoa city.
The battle was said to have been very intense and the parties used different types of weapons, but the official casualties resulting from the hours-long battle that took place in the Goofgaduud area are not yet known.
This is the third time in 10 days that the Al-Shabaab group has launched a strong attack in Goofgaduud Buree area, which is one of the strategic areas that are protected from public security in the city of Baidoa, which is the temporary capital of South West Somalia.
