An armed group that is said to be gathering at the Gacan Libaax mountain said that they are against the rule of the President of Somaliland.
The group, whose videos were broadcast on social media yesterday, said that they are against the administration of the President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, and they said that some of them are soldiers who have defected from the Somaliland military.
“The people who are in control of the regime, who have stayed in the place, who drink the blood of the people, a dirty government who has searched the people and the country and brought a nation to you, you think you are a government” one of the armed men said in a video they recorded.
So, the Chairman of the Somaliland Senate, Saleeban Mohamud Adan, who spoke about this armed group in today’s council meeting, called for them to be followed and their grievances resolved.
“I am hearing that young people have gone to the mountains, as a nation and as a family, they should be followed. This is not a problem for us. Let us follow the matter and solve it quickly,” said Governor Saleeban.
While President Bihi was in office, several armed rebels declared war against the president’s government, but all of them were peacefully disarmed later.
