Somaliland said that it did not like the report by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday about the destruction caused by the war to health centers in Lasanood.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland said that the Somaliland forces are protecting the land and the people of Somaliland from terrorists and sectarian militias, and they have made every effort to protect the people and the public interest.

“We have made this effort to protect people’s lives and public infrastructure, including hospitals and health service centers. The government has been working for many years to build and develop these facilities, and has provided a wide range of health services to the people of Lasan,” the statement said.

It was said that Somaliland has made an effort to deliver humanitarian aid to the people displaced by the conflict, and it is necessary for the WHO to work with the government of Somaliland.

“We encourage WHO to work with the government of Somaliland so that people affected by the conflict have access to health services,” the statement said.

The World Health Organization said on Thursday that attacks targeting some health centers in Lasaan have caused problems for health services.
