Yesterday, the Eid al-Adha, the Somali community in Minnesota, especially in Bloomington, prayed the Eid prayer at the soccer field of the Darul Faruq Mosque in Bloomington.
A large number of people crowded the prayer ground. In this place, which immediately took over a thousand people, they prayed three times. In the neighborhood near the mosque, the Takbeer was heard and the congregation was meeting each other with emotion.
On the roads leading to the mosque, people were seen walking from the nearby neighborhoods in festive clothes, as the weather was very good yesterday.
The Eid prayer was led by Sh.Abdirahman Bashir, one of the great scholars in the Horn of Africa, who is very popular with the sheikh, who gave a valuable speech touching many aspects, mentioning or quoting the last speech of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. The sheikh reminded the congregation of the speech that the Prophet gave at the Arafo Pilgrimage.
The director of Darul Faruq Mosque, Khalid Omar told HOL that after the three times the prayers were offered, several thousand people attended, and he told me that the long efforts they have put in to organize the Eid prayers have improved in every aspect, thank God.
Darul Farooq Bloomington mosque authorities are very prepared to manage the waves of people and cars that are passing each other on the roads leading to the mosque, being very careful about security because there is a lot of Islamophobia in the United States. and the city police were guarding the place, finally it ended smoothly.
Prayers were also held yesterday in all mosques in the state of Minnesota and nearby cities.
