The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who was speaking on the occasion of Eid al-Araf, first of all congratulated the Somali people, gave a speech that touched on many aspects and focused mainly on Theft and Corruption.
President Hassan Sheikh declared that his government is committed to stopping the theft and corruption of the public’s livestock, and vowed that there will be no more theft.
“The government of Somalia will not allow the poor girl’s or boy’s small funds to be taken to build houses in Turkey and Nairobi. I promise to God that this will never be allowed. Be careful, don’t stand with a thief. “Thieves who have stolen a nation are still in line,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
He also said that the president of Somalia will be shamed for anyone who steals public livestock, and he sent a strong message to the traditional elders and authorities who come after people caught in cases related to theft and corruption.
“The man who fears Allah has no dignity. He deserves it. No one who commits theft is forbidden. Today, we have reached a point where we are proud of theft. We are looking for a thief who is a thief. He is not a man who wants to work for the nation, so these people. Go to school, teach your child, don’t leave your house all morning to defend yourself from a thief and say why should he be arrested,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
This statement by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud comes as the government of Somalia has recently arrested officials of the government of Somalia who are accused of theft and corruption.
