The meeting of the Federal Government of Somalia decided to give the soldiers the salaries of the ministers for this month.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia donated their salaries in October to support the country’s armed forces in the fight against Al-Shabaab.

This decision was announced at the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre.

The spokesperson of the government, Farhan Mohamed Jimale described the decision of the cabinet as encouraging the armed forces of Somalia, and those in the region.

The spokesman said that this action is part of the response to the call from the top leaders of the country, that the fight to eliminate Al-Shabaab should not be abandoned.

The president recently announced the 2nd phase of the war against al-Shabaab. The President said the government needs support to help in the fight to liberate the country from Al-Shabaab.
