A council called the Somalia Modernization and Change Council appointed by Prime Minister Hamze.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, today appointed the Council for the Modernization and Transformation of Somalia.

The appointment of this council is aimed at the construction and promotion of change that leads to sustainable development, and can be the basis for a stable Somalia, an efficient administration that can be financially self-sufficient according to a news release from the Office of the Prime Minister of Somalia.

The new council appointed by Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre consists of 13 ministers and 6 members of his office, including senior advisers.

“The process of modernization and change in Somalia is creating a concerted effort by all Government Ministries, Federal Governments, International Partners, Non-Governmental Organizations, Businessmen and Civil Society to improve the Administration, at the highest level. “Economic development, social welfare and building economic infrastructure,” said a news release from the Prime Minister’s Office, Hamse Abdi Barre.

1. Mr. Bihi Liman Cige, Minister of Finance
2. Mr. Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir, Minister of Education, Heritage and Higher Education
3. Mr. Ahmed Macalin Fiqi, Minister of Interior, Federation and Reconciliation
4. Mr. Mahmoud Abdirahman Sheikh Farah (Beene Beene), Minister of Planning
5. Mr. Abdirisaq Omar Mohamed, Minister of Petroleum and Mines
6. Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Shekh Ali (Discussant), Minister of Internal Security
7. Mr. Ahmed Madobe Nunow, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation
8. Mrs Fardowsa Osman Igaal, Minister of Transport and Aviation
9. Dr. Mohamed Elmi Ibrahim, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs
10. Mr. Jama Takhal Abbas, Minister of Water and Energy
11. Mr. Ahmed Hassan Adan, Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy
12. Mr. Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi, Minister of Trade and Industry
13. Mrs. Khadija Mohamed Almakhsoumi, Minister of Environment and Climate Change

This Council will be chaired by the Prime Minister of the JFS Government, and will have a Secretariat consisting of:

2. Mohamed Abdirahman Mohamed (Boolbool), Director of the Council of Ministers of XRW
3. Mr. Kamaludin Dahir Hassan, Adviser, Security Affairs of RW

5. Ahmed Omar Mohamed, Adviser, XRW Cabinet Affairs
6. Hassan Abdullahi Diriye, Consultant, Development and Improvement of Government Institutions Management in XRW.
